Endoscopy

Endoscopy uses a small video camera scope to see the inside of the esophagus, small intestines, and colon.  It is used to remove foreign bodies, such as rocks, from the stomach and esophagus without conventional surgery.  This procedure is also a minimally invasive way of obtaining tissue samples from the stomach, small intestines, and colon.

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy allows the visualization of organs within the abdomen such
as liver, spleen, and kidneys through a small video camera.  Tissue
samples of the liver can be obtained through small incisions without
undergoing traditional surgery.
